Why Isn't Acupuncture Mainstream?

For that matter, why isn't all natural medicine the go-to when one isn't well?

Ready for a history lesson? The past affects the present. Let's see how this relates to medicine.

In the early 1900's, what we now know as "alternative" medicine was practiced by doctors and taught in medical schools; employing a holistic approach, including naturopathy, homeopathy, herbal medicine, and nutrition, was part of the norm.

So, what happened?

The Flexner Report

I'm sure you've heard of John D. Rockefeller. He was quite a "feller" that's for sure. Considered one of the wealthiest people of all time, he possessed 90% control over all oil refiners in the US.

That wasn't enough for him.

Around the same time, petrochemicals were the rave, used to make all kinds of products that could be patented and sold for great profit. Profit, did I hear? Rockefeller did. He realized the creation of synthetic vitamins and medications from the petrochemicals could equal huge dollars, especially if he got rid of the competition.

To accomplish his goal, Rockefeller did several things.

One.

Bringing Carnegie on board, he went on the war path to discredit natural medicine in all its forms, hiring Abraham Flexner, an "educator," to submit a report to Congress - the Flexner Report - on the medical schools of the day, with recommendations coming from Rockefeller (neither a doctor nor medically trained at all), which led to natural medicine, that had been practiced safely for hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of years, to be denounced as quackery, mocked, and some doctors were even jailed.

Two.

Rockefeller and Carnegie poured billions of dollars into funding medical schools, with the stipulation that they could only teach allopathic (use of drugs, radiation, and/or surgery) "medicine." Teaching of anything natural, on diet, or holistic techniques were ordered to be removed.

Three.

A "Drug Trust" alliance was created in 1939 with IG Farben Pharmaceuticals - this German company played an integral role in WWII horrors, murders, and forced medical experiments ; 24 members of their board and executives were convicted of crimes, though for the most part punishment was evaded as they just split into other conglomerates, one of which was Bayer. The "Drug Trust" alliance included General Mills, Kellogg, Nestle, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Proctor and Gamble, companies that produce many of the food and home products people use daily (which are also harmful, but that is a whole other discussion).

Four.

Targeting the consumer. The Rockefeller Foundation placed "nominees" in federal health agencies to "reeducate" the public to believe they needed drugs. In 1948, using magazine ads, over $1 billion was spent by the bigger drug companies in one year (equivalent to over $12 billion today). In order to get a high return on investment, these companies wanted permanent customers, and looking at the state of "health" care today, I'd say they achieved it. How many people do you know who are on one or more medications, either over-the-counter or prescription? After conquering the United States, Rockefeller actually tried to take over the medical system in China too, seeking to abolish Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture and herbal medicine.

In summary, the expected, accepted, and mainstream form of medicine today was largely founded by the greed of an oil tycoon, who knew nothing about health or medicine, and didn't care to know.

Interesting, or Infuriating?

You or someone you know may be on one or multiple medications, for years. Do you feel a bit differently now about taking those pills after learning this information? If so, working with a qualified natural medical provider, it is possible to restore your body back to a state where it can heal itself, where your symptoms vanish along with your prescriptions, as you lower the toxic burden and internal balance is restored.

Rockefeller was then, and still is, considered the richest man in American history. The Flexner Report came out in 1910. In 1913, Rockefeller controlled over 2% of the entire US economy. 2% may not seem like a big number (only hundreds of millions of dollars), but what about the percentage of people taking drugs over the last 100+ years? Enduring surgery? Chemotherapy? Untold millions, if not billions, of cases of suffering and combined symptoms, designed by the drugs themselves to never disappear, all because a man bought and manipulated his way to gain control over the medical system. To help people? No. To profit off them, year after year after year after...

Question:

Who founded the American Cancer Society? Can you guess?
